White County runs past Chestatee to stay in playoff hunt

GAINESVILLE — White County scored 38 points in the second and third quarter to blow open a close game en route to a 52-11 win over Chestatee Friday night in Region 8-AAAA action at War Eagle Stadium.

The Warriors (2-6, 2-3 Region 8-AAAA) led just 7-3 in the first quarter but exploded for 38 straight points.

Clancey Loudermilk and scored a pair of touchdowns and Nasser Clark had two touchdowns, including a 77-yard interception return.

Chestatee (0-8, 0-5) got its only touchdown on a run by Baylee Camp.

White County is just one game behind North Hall and North Oconee with two games left. The Warriors next will play host to Monroe Area before closing out the season at home against North Hall in what could be a showdown for a playoff spot.
