GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville High School marching band (aka The Big Red Machine) took top honors recently at the Hart County High School Marching Band Invitational.
Several high school bands from around the state participated.
The Big Red Machine won Superior ratings in all categories, 1st place rating in their class in all categories, 2nd place Drum Majors overall, 3rd place Color Guard overall, 2nd place percussion overall, 1st place band overall, and for the first time in the history of the group, it was named overall grand champion.
