WASHINGTON — Riverside Military could not hold a slim halftime eventually falling to Washington-Wilkes 14-3 in a Region 8-AA battle on the road.
The Eagles (1-4, 0-2 Region 8-AA) led 3-0 at halftime on the strength of a 31-yard Jordan Ainslie field goal with just over eight minutes left in the second quarter.
The Tigers (2-4, 2-0) rallied in the second half for a pair of touchdowns to win their second straight game.
Chandler Jones passed for 137 yards but also had one interception for Riverside. Kaseem Duke had 100 yards rushing on 15 carries and two catches for another 80 yards and Javon Thompson had three receptions 61 yards for the Eagles.
Riverside will play host to Oglethorpe County next week.
