DEMOREST — Piedmont picked up three first half goals on Tuesday night in a 3-0 shutout of Toccoa Falls College before a packed house at Walker Athletic Complex on Youth Night to earn their 12th straight victory to start the 2015 season.
Cassidy Reich scored just seven minutes in after Tabea Soelter slipped a through ball behind the Toccoa back four with Reich slotting away her first score of the evening. Reich would score on a header 16 minutes later nodding away a Tori Gillett corner kick, the first of two corners that Piedmont scored on in the first half.
The second came off the head of Morgan Edelman who blasted away her fourth goal of the year with a score in the 43rd minute. After Edelman's goal, the Lady Lions coasted to the 3-0 shutout with Ashlyn Atnip getting the decision in goal, her first career solo shutout and Piedmont's 10th in 12 games to start the year.
