DEMOREST — A day after picking up a key victory in conference play, the Piedmont College men's soccer team fell in non-conference action Sunday afternoon to the visiting Tigers of Sewanee 2-0 at Walker Athletic Complex.
The Tigers used a score in each half to pick up the win, their second in their last three contests to go with a 4-0 win at Berea a week ago today. The loss for Piedmont is the first in regulation since September 19 when the Lions dropped a 5-2 decision to North Carolina Wesleyan College.
Scoring for Sewanee was Ramsey Seagle and Luke Deimer with Seagle picking up his in the first half on a deflected save while Deimer earned his on a header off a service from Ryan MacDonald in the opening 20 minutes of the second half to seal the 2-0 win for the Tigers
