DANIELSVILLE — White County trailed 11-0 in the second quarter -- until Nasser Clark kicked the offense into gear. By the time the Warriors stopped they were owners of a 26-11 win over Madison County, their first victory of the 2015 season.
Clark took a shovel pass 67 yards -- on third and 25 -- to get White County onto the scoreboard at 11-6 (the Warriors missed the 2-point conversion attempt). Clark finished the game with two touchdowns -- his second, a two yard run, giving White County a 19-11 lead.
Thanks to the Warriors' defense, it would have been more than enough. White County (1-4, 1-1 Region 8-AAAA) held Madison County to 41 total yards in the second half and held the ball for 20 minutes, compared with just four minutes to the Red Raiders.
Kaleb Crain paced White County with 134 yards rushing. Adam Johnson also had 40 yards rushing and a touchdown.
The Warriors will look to keeo rolling next week against Stephens County in Cleveland.
