Girls basketball: Lady Raiders keep pace in 6-AAAAAA

JOHNS CREEK -- North Forsyth held Northview to just one first quarter point and then cruised to a 56-33 victory Friday night in Region 6-AAAAAA action.<br />

The Lady Raiders (18-3, 12-2 Region 6-AAAAAA) kept pace in the region with the win and are tied with West Forsyth for second place with four region games left.<br />
<br />
Caroline Bowns poured in 29 points on 10-for-12 shooting, including hitting nine 3-pointers, to lead North Forsyth.<br />
<br />
Morgan Grindle added nine points on three 3-pointers for the Lady Raiders.<br />
<br />
North Forsyth led 11-1 after the first quarter and increased its lead to 23-11 by halftime. The Lady Raiders pushed their lead to 37-22 heading into the fourth quarter.<br />
<br />
The Lady Raiders will play host to Habersham Central on Tuesday in another Region 6-AAAAAA contest.
