GAINESVILLE - Free Child Identification Kits are now available from Safe Kids Gainesville/Hall County while the supply lasts.

"As busy parents, we may not think about the possibility of a child to be lost or missing, but parents should be prepared in case that happens," says Kimberly Martin, Safe Kids Gainesville/Hall County Coalition Coordinator.

Martin said each Child ID kit includes sections for fingerprinting, a
GenetiKid DNA card, a sterile swab, space to attach a current photo and the child's medical and physical information along with emergency contact information, and complete instructions for parents. The kit comes in a sealable waterproof bag.

"We never expect the unexpected to happen but parents can help law enforcement tremendously by having each child's photo and information readily available to assist us as quickly as possible in our efforts to locate the child," says Cpl. Kevin Holbrook of the Gainesville Police Department and Safe Kids
Gainesville/Hall County board member.

With the help of the Gainesville Police Department, the Georgia State Patrol Post 6 and the Hall County Sheriff's Office, Safe Kids Gainesville/Hall County will giveaway
