NGCF scholarship applications period opens

GAINESVILLE - The North Georgia Community Foundation has opened the application period for scholarships administered by the Foundation. The deadline for area high school seniors to apply is March 5.<br /> <br /> In 2014, 145 scholarships were awarded from 26 scholarship funds established by donors at the Foundation.<br /> <br /> The scholarships are available to high school seniors who are graduating in 2015. Each scholarship fund is established by an individual donor and has its own specific purpose and eligibility criteria. Awards vary in size depending on the amount available in the fund.<br /> <br /> Students in the Foundation's 15-county service area of Banks, Dawson, Fannin, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Jackson, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union and White counties are eligible to apply for scholarships applicable to them. <br /> <br /> Applications and more information about the eligibility requirements for each scholarship can be downloaded at www.ngcf.org/scholarships. Students may apply for as many scholarships as they choose as long as they meet eligibility requirements. Applications will be accepted through March 5 unless otherwise specified.
