BUFORD - The attorney of a man accused of murder in Buford is now saying her client acted in self-defense, according to a published report.
Quindarius Keshun Morton is accused in the shooting death of 22-year-old Reginald Bien-Aime on January 1st.

Gwinnett County Police said Morton killed Bien-Aime during a botched drug deal at the Ivy Creek Apartment complex near the Mall of Georgia.

Morton's lawyer, LeAnne Chancey, told the Gwinnett Daily Post her client wasn't there to take part in a drug deal, and that Bien-Aime pulled a gun on Morton.

She said that's when he pulled out his own handgun, and shot Bien-Aime in self-defense.
Morton turned himself in without incident at the Gwinnett County Detention Center on Saturday, January 3, according to Gwinnett Police.
