ATHENS, Ga. (AP) -- Police in Athens are investigating the shooting death of a University of Georgia student who was killed off-campus.<br />

Athens-Clarke County police say they began their investigation Tuesday, after someone drove 21-year-old Min Seok Cho to Athens Regional Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound. He died at the hospital.<br />

Police say their preliminary investigation found that Cho had met the suspected shooter to exchange marijuana.<br />
<br />
An autopsy on his body has been scheduled at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab.<br />
<br />
CrimeStoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator.<br />
<br />
The Athens-Banner Herald said Cho graduated from Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwanee.
