Items sought for time capsule for new Forsyth Co. Courthouse

CUMMING- The Bell-Forsyth Judicial Circuit is seeking the assistance of the public in gathering items for inclusion in the time capsule to be placed in the new Forsyth County Courthouse. <br />

It will be placed in the cornerstone of the new building. It is slated to feature both items that are representative of present- day Forsyth County as well as historical documents and items.<br />
<br />
Items being sought include:<br />
<br />
 Letters from Forsyth County citizens who were residents at the time of the dedication of the current courthouse in 1976<br />
<br />
 Citizen accounts of trials and/or jury service in the 1905 courthouse<br />
<br />
 Printed photographs of present-day Forsyth County, including such things as the courthouse,<br />
<br />
city hall, downtown Cumming, historical sites, schools, thoroughfares, parks, the Big Creek<br />
<br />
Greenway, shopping areas and churches (photographs should be labeled and dated)<br />
<br />
 Forsyth County high school sports programs<br />
<br />
 Publications, lapel pins, etc. from service organizations in Forsyth County<br />
<br />
Those interested in submitting items to be considered for inclusion can bring the items on Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to the Court Administration Office, which is located in the modular building behind the current courthouse.<br />
