Goodwill of North Georgia is inviting job seekers across the region to visit its career centers Wednesday for its 3rnd Annual New Year, New Job event. Dozens of area employers are expected to be at Goodwill career centers across north Georgia recruiting employees.<br />

"While we host job fairs at our career centers throughout the year, New Year, New Job gives individuals looking for work the chance to connect with dozens of employers on a single day," says Elaine Armstrong, director of public relations for Goodwill. "We've found that after the holiday season people tend to get back into the swing of their job search, so we created this event to give them a jump-start and to help area employers fill open positions at the start of the year."<br />

All ten career centers (Athens, Atlanta, Cartersville, Decatur, Duluth, Oakwood, Rome, Smyrna, Stockbridge and Woodstock) will be participating. Employers will be at each location recruiting workers for professional, warehouse and retail positions. Each job fair begins at 10:00 and ends at 1:00.<br />

Known for its donation centers and stores, Goodwill uses the money from its donated goods program to fund its career centers and employment programs. <br />

A list of participating employers is available on Goodwill's website along with a location finder job seekers can use to find their nearest career center.
