GAINESVILLE - Two people recently came in contact with a rabid cat in the East Hall area.<br />

It happened in the 5th Street area in Lula, according to Hall County Animal Services.<br />
<br />
The cat was shipped to the Georgia Public Health Lab-Virology Section in Decatur and county officials were told Monday that it tested positive for rabies.<br />
<br />
This is the first confirmed case of rabies in Hall County in 2015.
