Boys basketball: Indians take 2OT win over Chestatee

DAHLONEGA -- Lumpkin County snapped a four-game losing streak with a 79-76 win over Chestatee in double overtime Saturday.<br /> <br /> The Indians (5-13) trailed 15-9 early but used a 20-11 second quarter to take the lead. The two teams traded the lead in the second half before finishing in 59-59 tie.<br /> <br /> Lumpkin's Matt Satterfield hit a 3-pointer with six seconds left in regulation to send it to the first overtime. Satterfield, Jack Hoard and Cal Thrailkill each hit 3-pointers in the overtime periods and Howard hit two free throwslate in the econd overtime to help seal the win.<br /> <br /> Howard finished with 29 points to lead Lumpkin County. Thrailkill added 12 points and Satterfield had 10 points for the Indians.<br /> <br /> Chestatee (9-8) was led by Caleb Jameson with 26 points. Jordan Pulliam added 16 points and Hunter Creamer had 15 points for the War Eagles, who have lost four of their five games.<br /> <br /> The Indians are off until they travel to Franklin County next Friday in Region 7-AAA contest.<br /> <br /> Chestatee will play host to Monroe Area on Tuesday in a Region 8-AAAA contest.
