Lee resigns from Dawson County football

DAWSONVILLE -- Dawson County High School football coach Jeff Lee has resigned his position, according to school athletic director Grady Turner.<br /> <br /> Lee led the Tigers for 12 seasons, compiling a record of 48-74, including state playoff appearances in 2004 and 2012 -- Dawson County had reached the state playoffs just twice prior (1999 and 2000 under Jeff Fleming).<br /> <br /> The Tigers finished 2-8 this season.<br /> <br /> Lee has built a record of 102-145 at six different programs, including Jones County, Twiggs County, Hardaway, Georgia Military College and Charlton County.<br /> <br /> Lee was not immediately available for comment.
