State's Dec. revenues up 9 percent

ATLANTA - Georgia collected roughly $1.91 billion in net taxes in December, up from about $1.75 billion during the same time period in the last fiscal year.<br /> <br /> Gov. Nathan Deal said in a statement Wednesday that Georgia's year-to-date net tax collections were $9.61 billion in December, up roughly $515 million compared with the same time period during the last fiscal year.<br /> <br /> Deal says net individual income tax collections in December accounted for roughly $1.09 billion of the state's total collections. The figure is up from $958 million in December 2013.<br /> <br /> Deal says the state collected roughly $187 million in corporate income taxes in December, up from about $153.5 million in the last fiscal year.
