NGMC ready to open Medical Office Building in Braselton

BRASELTON - The medical office building attached to the future Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Braselton is set to open next week. Medical Plaza B, located off Lanier Islands Parkway/Friendship Road one mile west of the intersection with Hwy. 211, will open on January 12.<br /> <br /> The opening of the five story, 113,000 square foot facility moves the medical center one step closer to the opening of the new 100-bed hospital, NGMC Braselton, which is set for this spring. Many of the physician practices moving into Medical Plaza B are relocating from existing locations in Medical Plaza 1 or Thompson Mill Medical Offices.<br /> <br /> "While the hospital will not open until later in the spring, as our staff trains and readies the new facility to provide inpatient care, we wanted to open several new physician offices in Medical Plaza B to begin to orient the community and our practices to the new facilities," said Anthony Williamson, President, Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton.
