Water main breaks forces closure of Stephens Rd. in S. Hall

FLOWERY BRANCH - Water officials from the city of Gainesville and Hall County are working to repair a water main break on Stephens Road at Pipsissewa Drive.<br /> <br /> The line ruptured Tuesday morning near the same area that experienced problems during flooding in May 2013, according to Joey Leverette with the Gainesville Public Utilities Department.<br /> <br /> Leverette estimated that repairs would take up to seven hours, and he said Stephens Road would remain closed while repair work is underway.<br /> <br /> There is no word on what prompted the water main to burst.
