GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville Board of Education has been presented with a list of proposed courses for the high school for next year.<br />

Schools Supt. Wanda Creel confirmed Tuesday that it includes two new language arts courses: writing 1 and 2 and basic reading. Also included are classes in masonry and advanced outdoor education.<br />
<br />
The latter would expose students to a number of outdoor activities.<br />
<br />
In addition, some changes in mathematics courses are also on the table.
