GAINESVILLE -- The Lakeview Academy girls could not hold onto a third quarter lead falling to Hayesville (N.C.) 52-47 Saturday in the Georgia-North Carolina Challenge at the Lakeview gym.<br />

Lakeview Academy led 14-13 after the first quarter and built a 32-24 lead at halftime. The Lions were able to hold on to the lead in the third quarter behind its 3-point shooting.<br />
<br />
But Hayesville held the Lady Lions to just eight points in the fourth quarter to rally for the win.<br />
<br />
Schyler Miller finished with 18 points, including three 3-pointers, and Hannah Grogan also had 18 points for Lakeview Academy.<br />
<br />
Hayesville was led Stephanie Patten with 22 points. Amanda Thompson added nine for the Lady Yellow Jackets.
