Brittany Truitt collects second PBC Runner of the Week honor

For the second time this season the University of North Georgia's Brittany Truitt has been selected as the Peach Belt Conference AstroTurf Runner of the Week. The sophomore continues to impress, this weekend she covered UNG's 5k home course in 18:55 to claim the individual title and lead her team to an overall first place finish.<br /> <br /> As a team North Georgia placed all five of their scoring runners in the top ten, and a total of seven runners in the top 15. On the year this is Truitt's first individual title and her third top-ten finish in the four events in which she has raced.<br /> <br /> Truitt has yet to finish outside of the top 15 this season.<br /> <br /> North Georgia, ranked second the most recent Southeast Region poll, will return to action on October 10 at the Florida State University Invitational.
