KFCB recognizes volunteers

CUMMING - Keep Forsyth County Beautiful (KFCB) celebrated its 20th anniversary recently and recognized individuals, schools, groups and businesses who are making a difference in the community. <br /> <br /> A banquet was held to mark the milestone and give the organization a chance to recognize its volunteers, Environmental Program Manager Tammy Wright said.<br /> <br /> The following awards were presented during the event:<br /> <br /> Business Partner of the Year: Tyson Foods<br /> <br /> Educator of the Year: Ken Fahey<br /> <br /> Administrator of the Year: Lynne Castleberry<br /> <br /> Student of the Year Hannah Testa<br /> <br /> Group of the Year: South Forsyth High School National Honor Society<br /> <br /> Volunteer of the Year: Chris Webb<br /> <br /> Green School Awards (Gold Level): Coal Mountain Elementary, Settles Bridge Elementary, Kelly Mill Elementary, Cumming Elementary, Midway Elementary, Johns Creek Elementary, Whitlow Elementary, Liberty Middle, Lakeside Middle, South Forsyth High, North Forsyth High<br /> <br /> Green School Awards (Silver Level): Haw Creek Elementary, Brookwood Elementary, Chestatee Elementary<br /> <br /> Green School Awards (Bronze Level): Sawnee Elementary, Vickery Creek Middle<br /> <br /> To receive information on how you can become a Keep Forsyth County Beautiful volunteer, call 770.205.4573 or email [email protected].
