GAINESVILLE - North Hall Middle School was evacuated Monday afternoon following a bomb threat that came in around 2:00 p.m.
Hall County Schools Spokesman Gordon Higgins said administrators found a note in a bathroom describing a bomb threat for 3:00 p.m.

Higgins said the students were evacuated without incident to North Hall High School's football stadium as soon as the administration got wind of the threat.

"It was a very orderly evacuation by Dr. Rayburn (principal) and the faculty at North Hall Middle School," said Higgins.

He said parents of students were notified as events unfolded through the school district's instant messenger system.

Students waited in the football stadium for about an hour as authorities searched the school. The all-clear was given at 3:10 p.m.
"The school district is offering an immediate $1,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of person or persons responsible for making the threat," Higgins said.
