Piedmont College Theatre presents 'Sweet Charity' Oct. 2-5

DEMOREST - "Do you want to have fun? How's about a few laughs?" Then, Piedmont College may have just the show for you with "Sweet Charity," which will play on the Swanson Center Mainstage Oct. 2-5 in Demorest.<br />

This musical comedy follows Charity, a girl who wants to be loved so much that she loses sight of who she is. Set inTimes Square, with a musical score by Cy Coleman and Dorothy Fields, "Sweet Charity" features show-stoppers such as "If My Friends Could See Me Now," "The Rhythm of Life," and "Big Spender."<br />

It will be directed by Piedmont theatre professor Bill Gabelhausen.<br />

Performances are set for 7:30 p.m., Oct. 2-4; and 2 p.m., Oct. 5. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Piedmont College faculty, staff, and students are admitted free. "Sweet Charity" made its Broadway debut in 1966 and was nominated for nine Tony Awards and was adapted for the screen in 1969.
