Softball: Buford takes 4-inning win over White Co. in 8-AAAA

BUFORD -- Buford pounded out 11 hits en route to a 12-0, four inning win over White County Tuesday in Region 8-AAAA girls softball action.<br /> <br /> It was the first of five games in five days for the Class AAAA No. 1-ranked Lady Wolves (18-1, 5-0 Region 8-AAAA).<br /> <br /> Kennedy Kotula (7-0) got the win on the mound scattering three hits in four innings of work.<br /> <br /> Despite the lopsided score, the game was close until the third inning. Buford scored five runs in the third inning on five hits and one White County error. The Lady Wolves put the game away in the fourth scoring seven times, highlighted by a three-run home run from Jordan Deep.<br /> <br /> Drew Puckett, Remington Hasty, Alexus Murray, and Baylee Sexton each had two hits for Buford.<br /> <br /> Buford travels to Lanier on Wednesday to begin play in the Elite Sports Classic tournament and will take on Woodstock at 6 p.m.
