Students, some of whom were West Hall International Baccalaureate students, volunteered in various capacities for six hours and then walked. West Hall High School is an International Baccalaureate World School and participates in service events as a part of the Creativity, Action, and Service component of IB. "My life isn't filled with luxuries, but I am very fortunate to have food on a plate three times a day," said Alondra Bravo, senior Baccalaureate student and winner of the WHHS "Why Volunteer?" Contest. "Many people don't even get one meal: no water, no shelter, no medical treatment. I wish I could do much more than just volunteer, but I'm a 17 year old with no job. I really can't do much, but volunteering in this organization means a lot because I'll be a part of helping a world organization to end world hunger." <br />
