GAINESVILLE - Seven people, including five children were taken to the hospital following a wreck Thursday afternoon on Pearl Nix Parkway in Gainesville. But, none of the injuries were life-threatening.<br />

The two-vehicle accident happened in front of Captain D's, according to Gainesville Fire Department spokesman Keith Smith.<br />

"There was one adult male injured and transported nonemergency to the hospital," Smith said. "There was one adult female transported to the hospital nonemergency. There were two pediatric patients transported to the hospital nonemergency. And there were three additional minors transported to be checked out."<br />

Smith added that the road was closed "for a while to treat and transport the patients."<br />

He said all of the injured were stable and had non-life threatening injuries.<br />
