HOSCHTON -- Dacula scored the only touchdown of the second half to knock off Mill Creek 28-21 on Friday in Hoschton.<br />

The final 24 minutes were in direct contrast to the opening half, which saw the two teams battle back and forth to 21-21 at the half.<br />

The Hawks (1-2) were led by quarterback Daniel David, who rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown, while also completing 10 of 19 passes for 124 yards.<br />

Johnathan Hawkins also rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown for Mill Creek, while Brian Efianyi rushed for 36 yards and a score. Malik Turner also had two carries for 60 yards. David Curry caught four passes for 42 yards, and Chase Turner hauled in three catches for 62 yards.<br />

Mill Creek will take a bye next week before beginning Region 7-AAAAAA play at Duluth on Sept. 19.
