POWDER SPRINGS -- North Gwinnett bounced back from a Week 1 loss in style on Friday, jumping out to a three-touchdown lead on Hillgrove before holding on for a 28-21 win in Powder Springs.<br />

The Bulldogs (2-1) led 14-0 in the first half and 28-7 in the second half.<br />

John Urzua completed 12 of 25 passes for 187 yards and three touchdowns to help pace North Gwinnett's offense -- which rolled up 385 total yards. Back-up quarterback Ayinde Russell also passed for 69 yards and a score.<br />

Josh Imatorbhebhe led all Bulldogs receivers with four catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns, while his Daniel Imatorbhebhe hauled in four passes for 91 yards and a score. <br />
<br />
North Gwinnett punted the ball away with 58 seconds remaining but hit Hillgrove for losses on three straight plays to seal the win.<br />

The Bulldogs will take a bye next week before playing host to Collins Hill in the start of Region 7-AAAAAA play on Sept. 19.
