Howard, Faulk lead Eagles to win over Fellowship Christian

ROSWELL -- Riverside Military Academy opened its season with a 20-10 victory over Fellowship Christian Friday night.<br /> <br /> Hunter Sims completed a long third down pass for 60 yards to Chris Howard setting up a TD pass to Howard three plays later for a 6-3 lead at the end of the first quarter.<br /> <br /> Tarik Holmes had a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown in the second quarter to help the Eagles take a 13-10 halftime lead.<br /> <br /> In the third quarter, JJ McCalston had an interception to kill a Fellowship drive and Carlos Wade had a 30-yard TD catch to extend the lead to 20-10 in the fourth quarter. The Eagles defense came up big again late in the fourth quarter with a goal-line stand that resulted in a missed field goal.<br /> <br /> The Eagles (1-0) ran out the clock to preserve the win.
