ATLANTA (AP) - State environmental officials have issued an air quality alert spanning the metro Atlanta region.
The warning was issued by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division for Tuesday. Officials say the code orange alert means outdoor air could be unhealthy for children and people who have breathing issues.
Officials say ozone concentrations will be highest in the late afternoon and early evening. Environmental officials say people with heart or lung problems should also limit outdoor activity, especially in the late afternoon and early evening.
