GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Board of Commissioners Friday will consider rescinding a contract it tentatively awarded last week for work on a new county Correctional Institution.<br />

The board will hold a special meeting at 9:00 Friday morning at the county Government Center to "consider rescinding (the) vote made at the July 24, 2014 commission meeting approving Quality Concrete Block with stipulations." <br />
<br />
County officials said at the July 24 meeting that Quality Concrete Block was the only company giving an "official" bid by following procedures within the county. <br />
<br />
Walt Davis, the CI's warden, said at the time the county solicited bids from three other companies. <br />
