ATLANTA - The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) recently named Justin Ussery of the Dahlonega Probation Office "Probation Officer of the Year." In addition, Michael Langford of the Gainesville office was presented with the Tiffany Bishop Horizon Memorial Award.<br />

Ussery supervises the sex offender caseload in the Enotah Circuit. <br />
<br />
Langford was promoted in 2012 to Probation Officer II at the Gainesville Probation Office and has, according to the presentation, "established relationships with his peers and assumed a leadership role as mentor." <br />

The awards were presented at the recent Tenth Annual GDC Awards ceremony at Tift College in Forsyth. <br />
