MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Kansas State has signed a deal with Georgia for a home-and-home series between the two schools in men's basketball beginning with the upcoming season.
The schools announced the deal Tuesday. It will be the first time they have met since the 1987 NCAA tournament.
The Bulldogs will open the series on the road against Kansas State on Dec. 31, with the Wildcats making the return trip on Dec. 22, 2015.
The series will also represent a homecoming for Georgia coach Mark Fox, who grew up in nearby Garden City, Kan., and was an assistant at Kansas State under Tom Asbury from 1994-2000. Fox's wife, Cindy, also spent time working in the school's athletic department.
