City to host open house at Riverside Water Treatment Plant

GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville Public Utilities Department will host an Open House <br /> Friday, May 9 from Noon-4:00 at the Riverside Water Treatment Plant in <br /> celebration of National Drinking Water Week. <br /> <br /> Guests will be treated to tours and information on the amount of water that runs through the plant and how it's treated. <br /> <br /> The plant treats an average of 12 million gallons of water per day. The City of Gainesville serves more than 50,000 water accounts in Gainesville and Hall County.<br />
