Cates to compete in national equestrian event

GAINESVILLE - Chestatee High School Senior Chelsea Cates competed at an equestrian event this past weekend in Savannah against the top high school riders from Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi.

She placed in the top four in the Varsity Equitation and will be moving on to the National Competition in May in Springfield, MA.

Cates rides for the Holly Valley Equestrian Team, Coached by Dori Bishop, and competes in the IEA series (Interscholastic Equestrian Association) for high school and middle school riders.
