Baseball: Hughes no-hitter leads Falcons over Apalachee

BETHLEHEM -- Jonathan Hughes tossed a no-hitter and struck out 12 to lead Flowery Branch to an 11-0, five-inning rout of Apalachee Friday in Region 8-AAAAA action.

Dylan Gibeau had three hits, including a home run, to help pace the Falcons offense. Duece Davidson had four hits for Flowery Branch (12-6, 7-3 Region 8-AAAAA).

Justin Seabolt had two hits and two RBI, Stephen Skeggs had two hits and one RBI, and Andrew Nolt had two hits for Flowery Branch.

The Falcons next will open a two-game series with Clarke Central on Monday in Athens.
