Baseball: Chestatee holds off Monroe Area

GAINESVILLE -- Caleb Jameson tossed a complete-game, seven-hitter to lead Chestatee to a 5-4 win over Monroe Area Wednesday in Region 8-AAAA action.

Jameson gave up three earned runs and struck out five and also contributed at the plate with two hits and a run scored.

Tanner Gable paced the offense with two hits, including a home run, and three RBI. Jonathan Yearwood had two hits and one RBI Joey Scheman had a triple and one RBI for the War Eagles (5-16).

Chestatee will travel to Monroe Area on Friday.
