The Gainesville girls tennis team beat beat Buford 3-2 Tuesday in a close match.
The Lady Elephants got wins from Katherine Wright at No. 1 singles and Brinkley Frankum at No. 2 singles. Morgan Mercer and Suzanne Smith won at No. 1 doubles for their three wins.
For Buford, Annalea Stevens won at No. 3 singles and the No. 2 doubles team of Peyton Wolfe and Tammy Wayne also got a victory.
