The Georgia Sports Writers Association recently named their All-State teams for the 2013-14 season, including a number of area standouts.
Fourteen northeast Georgia players were honored with first team, second team or honorable mention selections, including Buford's Rakim Lubin, who was named Class AAA Player of the Year.
Lubin was joined on the Class AAA boys first team by teammate D'Marcus Simonds. Meanwhile, Lady Wolves standout Camille Anderson, was named to the girls Class AAA first team.
Other players honored included Johnson's James Hodges, who was named to the Class AAAA second team.
These players were also tabbed as honorable mention: Buford's Bree Horrocks, Chestatee's Bridgette Kelly, Dawson County's Sheyenne Seabolt, East Hall's Kyvon Davenport, Jefferson's Abby Franklin, Rabun County's Jordan Oliver and Sally Woerner, Riverside Military's Avery Cagle, Towns County's Eryn Cochran and White County's Spencer Adams.
