GAINESVILLE -- The Gainesville girls took a convincing 4-1 win over Clarke Central Tuesday at Longwood Park.
Katherine Wright won against Maddie Jenkins 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 singles and Haley Frankum beat Denise Sunta 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
The No. 1 doubles team of Josie Everte and Morgan Mercer beat Isobel Crain and Amelia Delamater 6-1, 6-0 and the No. 2 doubles of Suzanne Smith and Georgia Summer beat Addie Downs and Allie Martin 6-0,6-0 for the Lady Elephants' four wins.
Clarke Central got its only win at No. 1 singles when Caroline Caldwell beat Brinkley Frankum 6-3, 6-2.
Gainesville next will travel to Flowery Branch on Thursday.
