DAWSONVILLE -- J.T. Eggert fanned nine and scattered three hits to lead Dawson County to its first Region 7-AAA win of the year, 2-1 over North Hall.
The Tigers (6-4, 1-4 Region 7-AAA) scored twice in the first on a RBI double from Levi Whitmire and a RBI single by Colton Chester.
North Hall (6-4, 4-1) got its only run in the fifth on a solo home run from Andrew Smith.
The two teams will meet again on Friday at North Hall.
