ATHENS -- Ricardo Gomez had four goals and three assists to lead the Gainesville boys soccer team to a 9-0 thrashing of Cedar Shoals Tuesday in Region 8-AAAAA action.
Oner Tucson and Cesar Salcidio each had one goal and one assist for the Elephants (8-1-1, 4-0 Region 8-AAAAA). Roberto Nunez, Jose Cruz Garcia, and Diego Porras each scored one goal and Juan Robles added one assist for Gainesville.
Gage Turner and Jiovany Ortiz combined for the shutout in goal.
The Red Elephants next will play host to Winder Barrow on Friday at City Park in another Region 8-AAAAA contest.
