Auburn named safest city in Ga.

UNDATED - A home security company says the the safest city in Georgia is Auburn in Barrow County.

Safewise issued its annual list Tuesday.

Auburn was selected because only 76 crimes were reported in 2012, according to Safewise. The company said of those that were reported, none was violent - no single murder, arson, rape or robbery.

Other north Georgia cities made the list, as well. Braselton came in at number eight on the list, while Jefferson was number nine. Also in the top 50: Commerce, Flowery Branch and Suwanee.
