Plans in the works for 302-lot subdivision in Oakwood

OAKWOOD - A new 302-lot subdivision is planned in Oakwood on Falcon Parkway in the Warren and Martin road area.

City Manager Stan Brown confirms that the rezoning necessary for the development was approved by the Oakwood Planning Commission Monday night. Brown added that the developer also plans to use 20 acres of the site for commercial purposes.

Plans call for homes up to 3,000 square feet with the construction taking place "in phases" over several years.

The planning board's recommendation for approval now goes to the Oakwood City Council for consideration.
