ATLANTA (AP) Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal plans to deliver remarks at the first meeting of his severe weather task force.
The Governor's Severe Winter Weather Warning and Preparedness Task Force is set to meet at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Some 30 members were selected for the task force following a snow storm on January 28 that placed the city of Atlanta in gridlock.
Federal officials also will be in Georgia Tuesday to assist state officials as they begin a county-by-county assessment of storm damage.
