WASHINGTON - Amtrak plans to resume passenger train service to Toccoa, Gainesville and Atlanta Friday after it was suspended Wednesday and Thursday because of the snow storm that struck the South.
Amtrak made the announcement early Thursday evening.
This means the Crescent will resume its twice daily run between New York and New Orleans.
