VALDOSTA, Ga. (AP) - The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado hit Valdosta Monday and led to a building collapse and additional damage.<br />

Meteorologists in Tallahassee said in a report issued Tuesday that an EF2 tornado touched down in south Valdosta and damaged several buildings. The twister led to the collapse of a building at Langdale Forest Products, a lumber processing facility.<br />

The storm also tossed several cars and overturned two rail cars. The NWS says it was on the ground for .8 miles and was 180 yards wide.<br />

Police and fire officials have told the Valdosta Daily Times (http://bit.ly/1y1Too2 ) that four people were taken to the South Georgia Medical Center after the storm hit the area.
