PEACHTREE CITY - On the heels of a Christmas week rainy spell that left some parts of north Georgia with around two inches of rain, another two inches is possible by Monday.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting "scattered to widespread" rain across most of north Georgia Saturday afternoon through Monday, with most areas, including Gainesville, picking up another 2-2.25 inches. Between last Monday and through Christmas Eve, 1.56 inches were recorded at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport in Gainesville.
With the arrival of more rain through Monday, forecasters say there could be some "isolated" minor flooding in north Georgia, especially along creeks and rivers.
